The Role

A deal-execution seat spanning the full investment lifecycle — from first sourcing call to IC presentation.

Deal Sourcing

Identify and screen growth-stage hardware opportunities across all five verticals.

Analyssis and Diligence

Own financial, technical, commercial, and supply-chain due diligence end-to-end.

Portfolio

Track KPIs and prepare quarterly LP performance summaries.

Ecosystem

Represent Long100 at summits, conferences, and Physical AI Builders events.

Deal Sourcing & Screening

Opportunity Identification

Source deals via founder network, co-investor referrals, and proprietary outbound. Focus exclusively on growth-stage hardware across Long100's five verticals.

Deal Analysis

Evaluat the startup and comativive landscape, Produce Initial Investment Memos Supported by the AI diligence platform for accelerated screening.

Diligence & Investment Analysis

Using Agentic AI, build the analytical foundation for every investment decision presented to the Investment Committee.

Financial Modeling

Build detailed financial models, comparable-company analyses, and formal Investment Memos for IC review.

Technical & Commercial Diligence

Customer reference calls, competitor mapping, cap table review, and manufacturing/supply-chain assessment.

Agentic AI Tools

Leverage hands-on agentic AI skills to automate deal evaluation workflows and accelerate diligence throughput.

Portfolio & LP Engagement

Portfolio Support

Track KPIs across portfolio companies. Prepare quarterly performance summaries for LP reporting and fund-level monitoring.

LP & Ecosystem

Prepare materials for LP Advisory Board meetings and the quarterly Report.

Principal-Level

Additional Principal Responsibilities

Principals carry direct ownership of the deal process — beyond analytical support, they lead.

Pipeline Ownership

Own execution end-to-end for a subset of active deals.

Term Sheet Negotiation

Lead term sheet support and co-investor coordination.

IC Presentation

Present directly to the Investment Committee with conviction.

Qualifications: Associate

2–4 Years Experience

Background

Venture capital, private equity, investment banking, management consulting, or an operating role at a hardware/deep-tech startup.

Analytical Skills

Strong financial modeling, cap table fluency, term sheet literacy, and independent Investment Memo authorship.

Domain Knowledge

Genuine experience in UXV, supply chain, SpaceTech, robotics, autonomous systems, or advanced manufacturing.

Agentic AI Proficiency

Hands-on skills in agentic AI tools for automated deal evaluation and diligence acceleration.

Qualifications: Principal

6–10 Years Experience

Track Record

Demonstrable history of sourcing and/or leading hardware or deep-tech investments in VC or growth equity.

Founder background welcome.

Network

Existing relationships across robotics, autonomous systems, semiconductor equipment, or aerospace investor and founder communities.

IC & Term Sheet Experience

Prior fund IC representation and term sheet negotiation required. Taiwan/APAC manufacturing exposure is a strong plus.

Qualifications: Both Levels

Education

Bachelor's degree required. MBA or technical graduate degree is a plus — not required.

Mindset

Comfortable operating in a lean, in-formation fund with significant ownership and ambiguity.

Compensation & Location

Compensation

Competitive with market for growth-stage hardware/deep-tech funds.

Meaningful long-term incentive component tied directly to fund performance.

Location & Start Date

Primary: Austin, TX. Remote from Silicon Valley, CA is acceptable for one seat.

Target start date: Mid-October to November 2026.
